What We're Up to Now
Toward the end of my internal medicine residency, Scooter and I moved into a house in St. Louis, and we are totally loving it. The house is less than 5 minutes from work, and I can come home to check on Scooter during the lunch hour most days. She gets plenty of sun coming in through the windows in the morning, and after she eats lunch, she climbs her ramps and perches on the bed for her afternoon nap.
It’s nice being in St. Louis, because it is close to my family and friends that I grew up knowing. Right now, I’m trying to find the balance between work, hobbies, and friends/family time. My nephew James is only 45 minutes from my house, and it’s really important to me to be able to see him grow up.
